Trying to make a name for himself off the backs of whites! Ironic considering he's got one of the whitest names I've ever heard, which I've barely heard of at that. Never watched a fight of his and never will. And you can always count on the internet race detectives in full blind force on the case, like Columbo waltzing around with two glass eyes.
Tank showed how to avoid Loma already. Zero intent in fighting a peak version. Doubt Loma sticks around long enough to be cherry picked, as he seems to despise the politics of the pros, and rightfully so. I think Gilgamesh raises an important point, but I think people on here trying to reframe the discussion as to whether or not this is Wilder's fault is just noise. I would also agree Wilder has never said anything overtly racist, but he is very comfortable to use imagery and rhetoric that appeals to a certain section of his fan base. (I guess it's similar to the issue a lot of people had with Trump and the Alt-right).

Problem with this racism is that nobody cares about Devin Haney and nobody cares about Vassily Lomachenko so this isnt somehow going to translate into bigger bucks or a larger star for Devin.
