What’s he got to protect? He’s been open about it, if Bob hadn’t said publicly he was getting paid directly by DK would anyone even know about it? He’s already in the US so if anything was happening to him it would be happening already.
I think Bob dropped a bollock in mentioning the $1m payments. He might be a smart bloke and lawyer but he puts his foot in it more and more each year (like his comments about no one wanting to watch women’s boxing when he’s promoting one of the best - whether true or not it’s not going to do his business any favours).

He’s mentioned the $1m payments, said that Tyson wasn’t involved but I’m sure if he’s pushed by the relevant authorities hard enough then the story would change as why would Bob be paying DK if he wasn’t involved with Fury.
How could Fury possiblly not know about the payments. He was seen hanging around with Kinahan in Dubai and clearly looking like mates. You'd hardly think he wouldn't know. I think that part of the story was where he just went a little too far.
Yeah - of course Tyson would know. Why would Bob have to give him $1m per fight if it wasn’t requested/obliged by Tyson. It’s not like Bob can’t put on a show in the US without the help of DK.

Paying DK $1m for Fury to fight Tom Schwarz on non-US PPV is a good chunk of money.

Very little seems to be on the horizon for Probellum. From what I can see on Boxrec they don’t have any shows lined up where they’re the main promoter and just have one co- promotion (with Kynoch boxing in June in Scotland) on the horizon.

Is it just a matter of time before it gets wound up? I can’t imagine the McCormacks/McGrail being too happy as they need fights on the regular now they’ve turned over.

***Hypothetical*** as to how a fighter who introduced somebody to a promoter might not know, at least on paper WTF is going on.

Let's say somebody called El Chapohanrahanrahan approaches a promoter and says "How'd you like to make 100k for five minutes work?"

"You will receive $1.1m dollars for tickets via a series of anonymous cash or crypto payments".

"Separate to that *wink wink* you will pay me a £1m dollar fee for consultancy/advisory work to help make the fight".

"The balance is yours for your trouble".

As I understand it that's pretty much what the Yanks think has happened and variations thereof and why even Old Bob should be twitching.

You wouldn’t have thought so but other than Schaefer coming out and saying they weren’t involved with DK it’s gone pretty quiet.

Yeah - potentially. I guess if Bob gets asked what he got in exchange for the $1m paid to DK (which is bound to happen at some point) it’s tough to answer.

Also, there seems to be a bit of a ‘funding terrorism’ angle from the US government. If it comes under anti terrorism laws I think most options are open.
There will almost certainly be a couple of people who were in the know and who were dull enough to put something down on text etc, Those ones will be hung out to dry.
Unexplainable large sums of money to buy things like gyms and other property will also start bells ringing rather loudly.
Aside from that, it’s a very big kick in the arse to get the ones who aren’t real crims, but like to sail a bit close to line, to break cover and try to save themselves.
Just seen this

'funding terrorism' is an angle the states shouldnt talk about as they have been documented as funding terrorism and supporting those regimes through implementation of puppet 'democracies' for decades and continue to do so.

its sorta like elon musk becoming an advocate for communism.

Laughable!

You only have to look at what they did in Iraq. Lying and scheming to get a war going. There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and they knew that. I enjoyed this clanger from Bush recently. Doubt he will be giving any more lectures.

US hypocrisy is nothing new, in this case, I'm not gonna cry a river over this filth peddling dirtball, he got cocky, because everyone started kissing his ass even though he's pretty much a narco terrorist himself at this point

Yeah, the US don't fornicate around when these types start trying to muscle in , CIA, DEA have forgottn more about international gangsterism than Daniel Kinahan would ever know, and they are a very paranoid bunch

that's the part of it I just don't get, or at least it seems mad. Reading between the lines if he had only kept a low profile and kept his name out of the public glare it *seems* as though none of this would be going on? Just, the need of his ego to be recognised and feted, and this is where it's got him, it's bloody mad. it's inconceivable to me that someone with so much at stake would act like that. mental.

He got away with a little bit more and a little bit more, when the people in the business started stroking his ego it seems he just couldn't get enough of that

In a way they seduced eachother, Daniels money and "lifestyle", the boxers on the other hand giving Daniel that air of "legitimacy" he always wanted

But will they now sink together

Yeah, I mean I can understand the kind of psychological dynamics that may have been in play, I just find it inexplicable that someone with so much to lose can make himself such an open target for law enforcement, just because he wanted his ego stroking. Madness.

Yeah it’s a decent comparison.

Though Adair was on a potent cocktail of steroids and coke IIRC, so I can see how that would make a special kind of ego monster
