Why is the Fury Vs Klitschko rematch taking so long to arrange??
Re: Why is the Fury Vs Klitschko rematch taking so long to arrange??
Someone suggested Wlad's team might be delaying it to let Tyson put on plenty of weight in the meantime.

If I had to guess, I would say it's got a lot to do with Wlad's mental state. Recovering from the loss, wife and kid, retirement rumors,J-C wrote:Someone suggested Wlad's team might be delaying it to let Tyson put on plenty of weight in the meantime.

Rumours of Bolton's ground early July - 29k capacity so 35-40K with seats on the pitch...seems about right with a decent card.
Hopefully we get news soon, geting impatient.

Doesn't work like that any more I don't think. 29k capacity means 29k capacity bust, I'm 90% sure ylu're not allowed to oversell. Could be wrong though.jamiem26 wrote:Rumours of Bolton's ground early July - 29k capacity so 35-40K with seats on the pitch...seems about right with a decent card.

I think everyone is getting a little desperate to fill the gap with some dramatic conspiracy theory. I think it's fair to say that their respective teams are just taking their time to agree terms, and find a suitable venue.keithmoonhangover wrote:If I had to guess, I would say it's got a lot to do with Wlad's mental state. You could argue that the last fight was easier to make because Klitchko as the champion was calling the shots as he was the big name and Fury was a relatively unknown. Now Fury is top dog, and Klitchko is the challanger, although not an unknown, meaning it's hard to iron out certain details etc.

I heard BJS wants a to be on a comainevent, I don't know if this is being considered at all though.

You sure - you'd have to have seating on the pitch otherwise no ringside seats.Sklar wrote:Doesn't work like that any more I don't think. 29k capacity means 29k capacity bust, I'm 90% sure ylu're not allowed to oversell. You reduce seating in the stands one for one with the seats on the pitch. I'd not put my life on this but it's how I understand it works now for safety reasons.jamesmcdonnell wrote:You sure - you'd have to have seating on the pitch otherwise no ringside seats.Sklar wrote:Doesn't work like that any more I don't think. 29k capacity means 29k capacity bust, I'm 90% sure ylu're not allowed to oversell. I think you're probably right. There are all sorts of regulations, right down to the number of toilets so I wouldn't be surprised if they can't just add an extra 5-10k to the capacity.Sklar wrote:You reduce seating in the stands one for one with the seats on the pitch. Re: Why is the Fury Vs Klitschko rematch taking so long to arrange??
who cares , it was the biggest borefest ive ever seen and if they gave me ringside seats for free with beer all night id refuse the ticket , worst world title fight id ever seen
Re: Why is the Fury Vs Klitschko rematch taking so long to arrange??
Yes, I don't want to state categorically that I'm correct because someone will find an exception but for a number of reasons, the days of filling stadiums in the Live Aid style of the eighties is no more. Wembley can seat 90,000, but it reduces that to 75,000 maximum for concerts to allow 15,000 to be stood i.e. still a total of 90,000.the_doctor wrote:I think you're probably right. Remember though for concerts one side of the stadium is backstage so you can't seat people there anyway.Sklar wrote:Yes, I don't want to state categorically that I'm correct because someone will find an exception but for a number of reasons, the days of filling stadiums in the Live Aid style of the eighties is no more. Rod Stewart had 20k in at Blackpool a couple of years ago and that's barely safe for the usual capacity of 16-17k. Hatton went over the capacity when he fought outdoors too.Sklar wrote:Yes, I don't want to state categorically that I'm correct because someone will find an exception but for a number of reasons, the days of filling stadiums in the Live Aid style of the eighties is no more. There you go. There are always exceptions. All the large venues I've done stuff for work the way I said but anecdotally there are exceptions legit and otherwise.

Sklar is incorrect on this one. A lot of modern stadiums are designed with much more stringent safety features in mind. They build safety to a much higher standard than is needed.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Good point Senor.banjo wrote:Remember though for concerts one side of the stadium is backstage so you can't seat people there anyway.Sklar wrote:

An example is when Rhianna played a gig at the Stadium of Light. There were 57,000 people there and the standard seated capacity is 49,000.
The same happened when Coldplay played the Reebock Stadium.

Rod Stewart's a fake Scottish dick splash. His wife must be whoring it about. How the hell does he even manage to get it up never mind fire out weans!? I'd rather squat on a cactus than go and see him!expe wrote:Rod Stewart had 20k in at Blackpool a couple of years ago and that's barely safe for the usual capacity of 16-17k. He also can't sing for shite any more. He was cool and had a great voice when he was young, but he's turned into a tedious old wankspanner.Stuarty30 wrote:Rod Stewart's a fake Scottish dick splash. There was a great one about Trump the other day, someone called him a "hoofwanking cnutbungler" on a twitter.
