Should be a great fight- both fighters really have something to lose here.

That said, if Lebedev loses, he might be in a position to get more fights as an "opponent" whereas a win might actually leave him in the cold a bit, Brendis Prescott, Choi Tsven... , Ola Afolabi style..

a strange comment. I dont think enzo has too many enemies in boxing, to me hes always come across as a nice guy who took his loss against olafabi quite graciously.

the thing is i worry about enzo s punch resistance and confidence.As a fellow welsh lad i ll be rooting for him though and hopefully a good performance will earn him a return with olafabi or even a domestic showdown with herbie hide

Yes, but he is getting that for taking part in the fight already- Win OR Lose.

Well, on a personal level it would be a great win for him, but in regards to his career , it's hard to see what he would really gain if he won- unless of course he really does have the makings of a World Champion.

I hope Enzo wins this because i met 12 months ago at the khan prescott scrap and thought he was a very nice fella who had a lot of time for the fans, good luck to him.

He does, although ultimatly perhaps not quite World level. In retrospect it might have suited him better to look at European or even British level after that defeat by Haye.

Good luck to him against Lebedev. I'd have a handsome bet on Enzo to win this one on points, if I could find any odds!

I feel a bit sorry for Enzo in that he has been carefully steered towards world class and we were led to believe he was world class, when in reality he has European title level ability. Whenever he failed against a fellow fringe contender in Afolabi then he was ridiculed and therefore this fight with Lebedev may well be a 50/50 affair.

He was winning the fight very comfortably, he just ran out of steam! Clearly at that stage a 12 rounder was too much for him.

He was winning comfortably on points, pretty much 7 rounds to 1. He got very very tired, but until that disasterous 9th round he had seemed well in control, the only issue being his failure to stop Afolabi, and a bit of trouble in the 3rd.

"In play" Odds for an Afolabi win going into round 9 were about 40-1 (apparantly).

I can't really remember whether Enzo was coasting or what but I do recall Ola shaking him up long before the stoppage. I'm looking forward to the Lebedev fight to see what he has left to offer.
