What a stupid thread, you could quite easily make a case for every one yet can only choose one option.

Shouldn't there be a "none of them" option?

Both of the Pacquiao v Marquez fights should have gone to Marquez IMO.

Floyd v Oscar was a clear but competitive win for Floyd.

The other four could have gone either way.

How about De La Hoya -Mosley II as well. Oscar won that fight, and shane knows it.

For me, the only one was correct was Tito vs DLH (although Oscar SHOULD have beaten tito but blew it).

All of the rest, I think with the exception of JMM vs Pac 2 could have gone either way. I thought JMM 2 was a close but clear. DLH vs Mayweather was a draw on my card.

De La Hoya was definately robbed that night....

Out of all the fights i listed, i would say that was the most clear cut, in terms of the judges getting it wrong.

Lots of those fights could have gone either way (I thought Calzaghe clearly beat Hopkins though), so I don't think any of them were wrong verdicts.

Another poster mentioned DLH-Mosley II. I watched the fight with the sound off preventing influence from any biased commentary and I had DLH winning 116-112. I still don't understand how Mosley could have won that fight fairly. He was outlanded by over 100 punches I believe and there was only one time where he rocked Oscar, so I don't buy the "he was landing harder punches" excuse. When you are out boxed that much you better hurt the guy a few times.

what the hell,i displayed your post, because im bored. and no,im not drunk. i told you i dont drink anymore, right after i told you i have cirrohsis.that was right around the time you challenged me to a fight,if youll recall.

ive talked to you in a civil manner lots of times. if you look at the Bolt thread i even repaired a mistake i made, because you thought one thing and i told you another.(it was about the bailey-johnson race). i repaired what i had said, because i thought you had written that the wrong person won,and i was wrong.there were no insults or anything. i dont remember exactly what happened there, but i remember it was you.

so,are you going to follow everthing i say with an eyeroll and sarcastic comment? cause that would be kinda cvnty. and i had no problem with you until I ADMITTED having missunderstood your post, and you started to act like clint eastwood trying to be cheesy.now THAT`S cheesy.

youve challenged 2 people to fights in the past 3 days. maybe those people were jerks,or maybe you just get carried away. ill let you think on that.

And Both classily called me a c*nt and told me to f*ck off after very innocuous comments, jokes actually, made by me. I think the second guy even followed your lead , thinking it was somehow humourous, so well done

Jeez why can't people take a pop politely.......Hagler 2002's invited me on to the cobbles a couple of times but Chr*st he's never felt the need to call me a c*nt or tell me to f*ck off.

And as for reading my post and taking me off ignore cos you're bored, you don't need to justify it to the forum matey.....i'll have to go back and look at the Donovan Bailey thread lol. Think I may have been wrong actually, I said Bailey pulled up and it was actually Johnson :TU:

im a grown man for chirst`s sake. yes,i can ``take a pop``. i called you a pudendum cause thats what i do when i think someone is really trying to have a go at me,as you brits might say.and yes,id do the same in person, asswhooping that might follow for me or not,im not really afraid of it.

again,i think it was just a bit of unpleasantness(sp?),that affected us both at the wrong time. this isnt for me,but i think in general you should calm down a bit. its not a question of being able to beat people up. im sure you can.but one day you might beat the wrong person up,or someone will beat you up.

you seem like a reasonable chap,on the whole. so id like to take you off ignore, and that we could just talk normally like boxing fans might. i wasnt trying to be sarcastic up there,i hope you appreciate that better then i could appreciate the joke you made 3 days ago.i just think you shouldnt challenge people to fights. and im not calling you a wimp, but i told you what i think the problems are with that up there.it just sounds lame,on the whole.

ive been having a really hard time lately. i found out i am really sick, and in the time it took to write that my wife left me. and i tend to be a dick in general in my posts,it tends to colouyr thatr, and i am genuinelly sorry about it. it isnt your problem,or anyone on here`s problem for that matter.

so this is me,waving a white flag over here. you can be germany,or you can be britain.its kinda up to you.

Lets keep this thread civilised guys.

Goodbye Bobcat. I just read his comments about jews and 9/11 in the 'other sports' forum. In addition to his comments in this thread (and a few others) he just had to go.

I would say all of the above were bad decisions, except for Mayweather-De La Hoya and Hopkins-Calzaghe. I don't see how anyone disagrees with Mayweather winning, it was only a bad decision in that Oscar lost by a SD instead of a UD. I could see the case for Hopkins getting a draw, but I thought Calzaghe deserved the decision. Peak for peak its a different story.
