New Season...HW or MW?

Post by allworld80 »

Heavyweight - Everyone knows who they are. This division has been run multiple times, the last time being about a year and a half ago(?)

Fighter list added.

Middleweight - compiled a quick list below. You'll note that there are some fighters who appeared in the WW season (Leonard, Hearns, Robinson, etc). Those fighters, like many fighters, have ratings in mulitple weight classes so they are eligible for a MW season. Middleweights were used in part of an abbreviated 154-168 season, and it was about a year and a half ago as well.

Please vote either HW or MW, or other and list your preference.

My vote is: Heavyweight

It is the most exciting division... I know that the Middles haven't been done yet, but we are only atfer having the likes of Robinson and Leonard in the Welter season...

The 2 divisions are just too similar, give or take a few fighters.

It's time fora fresh change... It's time for the heavies. :box:

I'd say MW as it hasn't been done before and maybe do HW the following season.

MW seems the most progressive after FW & WW

I disagree.

If the Middleweight seqson is voted in, it's going to be similar to the season that has just finished...

I still say we leave the top fighters out of the draft pick, maybe offer them as tournament prizes later on in the season.

They're not unbeatable, but they're also very hard to beat. Leaving out the top fighters levels the playing field and means more people will have a chance at holding a belt.

(not sure who the top rated fighters are, you'd have to check the game stats.)

I've removed them from the list. I'm going to go ahead and throw up a HW list too in a minute.

Just leave them as CPU opponents only? If you can't find a human controlled opponent, you will always have a top option to fight as a cpu fighter....

Ezzard Charles,
Archie Moore,
Gene Tunney,
Soony Liston,
Floyd Patterson,
Jimmy Bivins,
Henry Cooper,
Matt Skelton, (and yet Sprott & Chisora is included)

It was a quick list I threw together. Those and a few more would be on any final list, if HW is indeed chosen.
