I posted this in the Current section, but I have a feeling it'll garner a bunch or moronic replies, so I'm also posting it here.
The AP and the WBA Online report it was a TKO2, but boxrec and FightNews report (correctly, in my opinion) that Nady got to 10, and thus it was a KO2. I think Buffer also announced that it was a KO.
What is the correct result, and what does boxrec base its KO2 result on?
Is the criterion for a KO the fighter not being on his feet at 10? I think Jones was on his feet at 10, but clearly very unsteady. Strictly an academic question, of course.
A downed boxer has to be up & ready to box before the count of 10 (i.e. 7, 8, 9, Box).
In referee's opinion he wasn't & therefore was counted out, which = KO
