Eddie Fast Car on PPV
Re: Eddie Fast Car on PPV
Served it up to him there. Not really satisfied with the responses tbh, though I think the fact that he is at pains to say it isn't going to be that way in future shows the criticism must have been heard at Match room, however they try and front it out.
Re: Eddie Fast Car on PPV
Fast Car cant come out and say it wasnt or shouldnt have been PPV. He might be able to in the future, but he would get a rollicking off Sky if he admitted it was poor.

200k! That's bladdy good numbers. Damn it!
Eddie Hearn
His take on the PPV event. Apparantly they did very good numbers http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/exclusi ... ge-fights/
Re: Eddie Hearn
If they try to serve up something similar as PPV then I'll not be buying again; I got a small buzz deciding, 'No' and sticking to it.

Re: Eddie Hearn
I wouldn't read too much into that, just Eddie trying to put over his product as usual. He says the numbers were wildly above expectation, but expectation was surely at an all time low anyway. Something tells me the actual number of buys will be far too low to ever be confirmed publically...

At the bottom, Dont know if you saw it or not they reckon it might of done 200k buys.Boxerbeetle wrote:I wouldn't read too much into that, just Eddie trying to put over his product as usual. Re: Eddie Hearn
Where does that figure come from though? I'm guessing someone from Matchroom or Sky leaked it to make it seem the PPV was successful. I reckon they'd confirm if they sold that many.lefty wrote:At the bottom, Dont know if you saw it or not they reckon it might of done 200k buys.Boxerbeetle wrote:I wouldn't read too much into that, just Eddie trying to put over his product as usual. Saw an Ed Robinson online earlier on here
Does anyone know if that was the one off Sky?

Re: Eddie Hearn
Yeah it is. Ed reads the forum I think. Doesnt post a great deal I dont think but that's understandable. He cant come out and express his personal opinions because of his job and he's not sky's personal spokesman either.rossij8 wrote:Saw an Ed Robinson online earlier on here

Is it just me who thinks that is need of the blokes one The Apprentice looks like Eddie Hearn? You know, the deluded guy..
Re: Eddie Hearn
Usually Charles Sale's column in the Mail is good for PPV figures and that sort of thing
Re: Eddie Hearn
If it's done 200k then that is unreal and I hope Bellew and Clev had a percentage deal otherwise sky and matchroom are quids in.

Re: Eddie Hearn
Even if they did miraculously get 200k buys, I reckon 180k of those wouldn't buy another PPV unless it was Mayweather vs Pacquiao or something - a lot of people will have been feeling very sore on Sunday after paying for that pile of sh!t.
As George W Bush always said: "'Fool me once, shame on...shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

I got that Buzz too, not just from this but all the PPV shite I've turned down. Sky's a noose round the neck, the prices they charge for 99%shite is terrible. I've seen what I wanted to see of the bill for sweet FA and even if I hadn't I couldn't care less. I called it being a total stinker anyway. All that shouting and slavering from Bellew said it all. The best do the damage in the ring.
Kovalev would best both on the same night, I'd wager at the same time.
Re: Eddie Hearn
Haha i wonder if that could ever catch on ..... tag team boxing or a handicap match. One man is taken a whooping so he tags his partner to take his place. Interesting concept and you never know- could get people interestedTomasino wrote:palooka wrote:If they try to serve up something similar as PPV then I'll not be buying again; I got a small buzz deciding, 'No' and sticking to it.

'' It was just average, and people want more than average, and that’s the bottom line.''

Re: Eddie Fast Car on PPV
I am very disappointed with Eddie on this one.
I thought he had learnt from his father's mistakes. Clearly he hasn't and is only looking to make quick cash on a short-term basis.
