Of course this is just a test. In a real fight you can risk a serious injury or open too much for a counter when you're throwing a punch like that.

In Rocky IV, Ivan Drago registered a 2,150lbs punch.

We don't have any proof that both men were involved in the same tests performed under precisely the same conditions. Your video simply claims that GGG punches like a cruiserweight. So this sentence has little to no meaning whatsoever.

That being said, if you want to pretend that GGG punches harder than something truly impressive, then why don’t you claim that he’s heavier-handed than the latest movie version of King Kong or what about Megazord from the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers"? Let's have fun with this?

OK, let’s keep things serious then, if that's what you want... you quoted the following statistic that strongly suggests that GGG hits 52% harder than a prime Frank Bruno:
apollo creed wrote:Frank Bruno - 1,420 lbs.
So why don’t you provide some evidence that justifies this belief, such as proving that both men were tested under identical conditions using the same instruments, with the tests performed by the same scientists?

If you can’t do something that basic, then all you’ve done is prove that you have a mild form of keyboard Tourette’s Syndrome that compels you to submit posts of a random nature.

You don't happen to pick random numbers for the UK's national lottery machine do you? :OhYes:

Still a lot of mystery about where knockout power comes from. Some seem to have it all along and some develop it in time. Emanuel Steward claimed that he taught Tommy Hearns how to use his leverage to start knocking people out after he turned pro. Apparently as an amateur his knockout rate was quite low.

Golovkin is a big puncher, but not an enormous puncher like say Pavlik who put dents in faces. Still GGG lands far more than poor robotic Kelly.

Still, no way GGG punches like Bruno, (another poor robot). I still remember hearing the punch he hit Jumbo Cummings with. I thought he'd killed him.

When it came to a single punch Bruno may have been hardest ever, even harder than Marciano's Suzie Q. He almost knocked out a prime Mike Tyson with a jab.

I wasn't criticising the video - I was mocking his random post about Frank Bruno that even he doesn't understand.

Asking someone to explain the reason for posting a random meaningless statistic is not unreasonable. And if they respond with insults, because they can't explain their post, then they deserve to be mocked.

If you think I'm being unreasonable, why don't you ask apollo what his Frank Bruno statistic actually represents?

The true source of his power is the letter G.

And he's got three.

Too bad GGG can't really land it in close quarters. Was surprising to see how much he missed with the wide punches in close. His uppercut works wonders there but those hooks just aren't landing, save for the body shots on occasion. He needs to go back to throwing those skull busters like against Rubio.

Yea but modern boxing has changed a bit in my opinion. There is far less toe to toe so there's not as much opportunity for him to throw it. Instead, you tie someone up as soon as they get close. Well thats what I've seen a lot of lately. PPl that dont do it....and not to give him credit but this is why it would make a great fight is Canelo. Chavez also used to stand there and go toe to toe proper. Golovkin verses any of those is a good fight.

Thanks for the article. Unfortunately it doesn't really explain how Frank's punch power was measured and nor does it confirm whether GGG's and Bruno's numbers can be compared.

Thank you for trying to explain someone else's post though.
