Chocolatito should be at the tail end of the top ten or just outside of it.

I think that Once Upon A Time should definitely be around 7.

I would probably flip Hitman Jr and 3G.

1. SOGgy
2. Hitman Jr
3. 3G
4. Krushedner
5. Lomassiah
6. Once Upon A Time
7. GingerHead
8. LSC
9. Pac
10. Frampton

That idiot pound for pound schtick always pisses me off since it is nothing but a list of somebody's favorite boxers with no objective criteria. It started off as a space filler in the useless Ring magazine which was mostly space filler in and of itself. Now it's supposed to be some big important rating system. The hell it is. It's just something for fools to argue over, like what you see here. Andre Ward #1 ha ha ha!

 It hurts, doesn't it?

Of course p4p lists are subjective, Einstone. You must stumble through life in a perpetually pissed off mood. :OhYes:

ESPN drank the SOG Kool Aid too. Also, Gonzalez lost and he gets a high rating. Makes no sense. Is Dan Rafael doing the list?

I think GGG is too high at 2. I think Crawford should be higher as well.

Based on their last performance, Ward shouldn't be in top 5, and Kovalev shouldn't be in top 10.

It's nonsensical to suggest that he doesn't at least have a very good argument for the spot.

I have him #1 for now, I feel like a clear winner in the GGG vs Canelo fight could unseat him for #1 and then you got guys like Loma and Crawford who are right in the mix too, but Ward has the best resume in the game right now definitely.

If his last 2 wins were more definitive he'd definitely be #1 and have a clear hold on that position, but as they are he's #1 but it wouldn't take a lot more from the guys just below him to knock him off that perch IMO.

Here's mine

1. Andre Ward
2. Vasyl Lomachenko
3. Gennady Golovkin
4. Terence Crawford
5. Srisaket Sor Rungvisai
6. Roman Gonzalez
7. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez
8. Manny Pacquiao
9. Guillermo Rigondeaux
10. Oleksandr Usyk

Wouldn't take much to get bumped Rigo off the list altogether given his recent performances and the fact that he's basically been riding his win over Donaire for P4P status for years.

Upcoming fights with P4P ramifications to me include
Mikey Garcia vs Adrien Broner (Garcia cracks the Top 10 with a decisive victory here)
Basically all 3 fights on the Sept. 9 Triple Header on HBO of 115 pounders
and of course GGG vs Canelo

Whoever comes out on top in those World Super Series Tournaments might make a big statement regarding that stuff too as they'll have to beat 3 formidable opponents in a row to win.

When he wins a fight against a top opponent without so much controversy, he will have an argument.

First 5 in arbitrary order:

Loma, Crawford, Golovkin, Inoue, Spence.

Inoue has come nowhere near anything Ward has done. I personally don't get why everybody is so high on him. I mean yes he's talented, but I don't see putting him on P4P lists based on anything he's done up to this point.

What exactly has Ward done? Never fought outside of the U.S. Defeated Kessler using illegal tactics, got a gift for the first Kova fight, and won the second fight using low blows. If you ignore those 3 "wins", what is left ?

Also, p4p lists are not solely based on resumes. My eye test says that Inoue is better than Ward and Kovalev.

I've watched Inoue fight too, and my eye doesn't tell me anything like that.

Ward has wins over Arthur Abraham, Carl Froch, Mikkel Kessler, Chad Dawson, Sakio Bika, and Kovalev 2x. Other than the 2 Kovalev fights he's always won decisively, and without controversy over an extremely solid field of competition. I'm not a fan of Ward, but give the man his due. You don't accomplish what he has by accident.

You're wasting your time, dude has Floyd level irrational Ward-love. He's easily top 5 right now and a top 3 alltime SuperMiddle.

I'd consider him the #1 Super Middleweight of all time personally. Nobody else did more at the weight than him. Though you could make an argument with Calzaghe.

It would probably be an injustice not having Ward #1 right now. Even though he had a long stretch of inactivity, he did win the Super Six tourney and he just beat a consensus top 5 p4p fighter at a new weight twice. That's more than anyone else has done.

As far as best technical boxer, I'd have to say Loma holds that title. However, while everyone's p4p criteria seems to differ, I think it's only fair to rate based on accomplishment, as that is that most tangible type of system we have as far as rating. And Ward has accomplished quite a bit while still being, technically, undefeated.

It's a mixture of accomplishment and eye catching talent for me, but accomplishment carries the most weight for me. Even if your style is not the prettiest looking if you can consistently beat Elite level guys then you're an Elite fighter.

I think ward lost his previous fight, a light heavy Crawford would kick his ass imo. Can't do it. Definitely top 5.

P4p is subjective and I don't really care for as the top heavy beats all. But I have a passing interest. Can someone tell me how r Gonzalez is top 3. Had a great record. Beat many bums , I get that as needs to eat and big money ain't in that division. But he just fukin lost. Top 3 what. If was a super fight or at a heavier weight against another p4p but really cmon. And I do really like watching him and like him but he should be out top 10 now imo. And if memory serves correctly as I may be wrong but in like 3 out of last 5/6 he wasn't as impressive as I was expecting :bag:

Ok...so what controversy other than the Kovalev fights is there? I don't buy the Kessler headbutts bullsh*t, he was aggressive, some accidental butts happened...that's the way it goes sometimes.
