BoxRec Top 5

Post by JAHamilton77 »

Is it possible that boxrec top 5 P4P is the actual top 5 P4P for once? Just in a different order than you might have them.

my top 5 is:
1.Crawford (boxrec's 2)
2.Lomachenko (boxrec's 5)
3.Joshua (boxrec's 7)
4.Golovkin (boxrec's 6)
5.Alvarez (boxrec's 1)
i do not include Ward because outcomes of his Kovalev fights are disgusting.
worth to mention that Mayweather is added to the rank again as no 4 but i do not want to include him in my top 5 as he is in fact a retired fighter.
so i pretty much agree with boxrec

Canelo would not be in my top 5 and maybe not in top 10 either. Ward is a fake No. 1 by Ring Magazine and it means nothing. I think Crawford, Lomachenko, and Golovkin should be top 3, not necessarily in that order. Basically, I disagree with boxrec having Ward, Canelo, and Mayweather among the best P4P, but I understand because it is computerized.

JAHamilton77, please create a poll with

Lomachenko
Crawford
Golovkin
Spence
Ward
Thurman
Joshua
Rigo
Inoue
Usyk

and allow 3-5 votes. Let's see what the poll says.

1 loma
2 crawford
3 GGG

4-5 i am unsure on 4 and 5. Ward lost first kovalev fight and second was a dq loss. Kovalev on the other hand didnt look good. Canelo lost to lara and lara didnt do much since his win over canelo. Gonzales had a close fight with wangek. I think 4 should be jacobs, he looked very impressiv against who many called p4p #1 GGG. Thurman, canelo or spence. One of those should be 5. I ll go with canelo 5.

Who the f*ck has Usyk, Inoue, or Thurman in their top 5? It's such a joke that you bothered to include these guys and not Alvarez. Stupid. Even Leo Santa Cruz should easily be above Usyk and Inoue, probably Thurman as well.

I actually agree about Usyk. Just didn't want to hear questions why I didn't include him. Alvarez would still not get into the top 10.

Mayweather has been removed from boxrec pound for pound top 5. Now, they show Mayweather as inactive status, so he can't be rated.
