Will Canelo accept it? I mean what it would be Canelo's excuse/answer to not fight the best LHW to cement his legacy? The boxing fans and the media may demand it.

canelo is like oscar de la hoya. somebody can say whatever he wants about those 2, they lost fights, they got gift descisions etc.. but what nobody can take away from them is, they truly had a heart of a warrior.
oscar wasnt supposed to fight 6'2 prime Hopkins. Canelo aint supposed to go lh and challenge a ko artist in kovalev.

thats why i give mayor props to both and wouldnt be shocked if canelo fought gvozdyk. imagine floyd fighting prime GGG or prime Lara. he never had this in him. he was happy he got the gift descision against Castillo and said to himself 'I'll never fight a guy much stronger than me who puts pressure on me. prime Margarito, prime Williams-no fight

Yup. A strong mofo that can fight. He had bad luck with his pro career. He was poorly managed. After Cloud and Campillo fights, Artur should've got more good fights.

He has been dropped twice in the pros and was also rocked but not down vs Hot Rod. I've also seen turned to jelly legs in the amateurs.

He can punch for sure, but anything about him being some made of iron durability monster is just fantasy.

Beterbiev is very strong physically and he punches very hard. Nothing else about him is remotely world class. He's getting his ass kicked.

Be reasonable. Kovalev is still arguably top three in the world (LHW). Maybe he is ripe for the picking but that's because Canelo is that good or believes he is that good. Kovalev is a great scalp for anyone in the LHW division, let alone a SW or MW.
