MORE BS FROM FIGHT ACADEMY

Post by boxingchat »

Gary Shaw announces that he has signed Victor Oganov. Is this the same Victor Oganov who Fight Academy claimed they had signed a couple of weeks ago?

Was this deal done by the same FA person who announced that Matthew Hatton had signed to fight Gatti?

How long will you lot listen to this bollcks before you wake up and smell the coffee? :TU:

After failing ever to do business with the 2000 Olympic champion, Audley Harrison, Warren has now signed the current one, Russian Alexander Povetkin, 25 (pictured), who is also a double world amateur champion. Povetkin is big, blond and can bang. 'He wants to be fighting for the world title in two years,' says Warren

Skelton-Williams I
[Williams] said: "(Promoter) allegedly hopes the winner on Saturday can get a go against WBA champion Nikolay Valuev, maybe in the summer.
Skelton-Williams II
The winner could go on to fight for a world title later this year, according to promoter allegedly.
Promoter allegedly says Danny Williams will get a crack at WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev but he will have to bide his time.
The Commonwealth champion retained his crown with a split decision win over Matt Skelton on Saturday and said the Russian is next on his hit list.

"Valuev is fighting in April or May so he may not fight again until the autumn," said Warren.

"But there will be a fight. I'll deliver it as I have done in the past."

Skelton-Sprott II
"The talk last year was of me fighting Audley and the winner going on to fight for a world title, but I was injured and Michael took his chance.

"(Promoter) allegedly then stated that the winner would face me, and whoever won that fight would get a world title opportunity.

Also saviour, do you by any chance have any factual evidence relating to FA claiming a Matthew Hatton/Gatti fight had been signed? I know they were apparently in talks at one time, but I didn't actually hear that it had been (alledgedly) signed sealed and delivered

I'm just surprised that boxingchat hasn't got the sack yet for making his master look even more of a fool than normal (even though Frank did a cracking job of it himself with his latest NOTW column this week).

It's harder to believe that the workers' revolution is providing more prosperity and success than the decadent capitalist-imperialists when its written by a Pravda journalist.

I suppose I'm not saying anything other than what the other posters have said, but the pot is certainly calling the kettle black on this one.

All boxing promoters do this kind of thing. All of them. Wake up and smell the coffee.

What is it with sniffing coffee.

DRINK TEA LAD.

A brew grown int t'empire.

Why do we adopt these american sayings so readily.

What ever happened to

"By 'eck"

"Or flippin' Nora"

Or good ole "Gordon Bennett".

I vote we start salvaging our Britishness from the scrap-heap and oust this American jingoism.

I don't even like Coffee. Although I did like Cheri Lunghi if that helps.

Ah doo laik ah koop o'brew every nowandagain, ah moost admit. The Earl Gray th' doo 'ere in Moscoow iz a bit fancie, but its class in a glass and the Russkees luv thir tea.

But the reference to the scent of coffee, as I'm sure you're aware, was an -- probably feeble -- effort to draw reference to the original posters misguided and thinly veiled propaganda.

You see how easily this stuff is lost.....ever since Compo passed away the whole equilbrium of the English language is unbalanced and the traditional phrases are on the brink of extinction. I blame the WBO.

You say "whatever"

I say "get stuffed".

You say "and I was like, so..."

I say "So I smacked 'im"

Now anyone who watched the Likely Lads will affirm that Gordon Bennett was a widely used phrase in Northern England.

And Gordon Bennett was born in bloody Scotland.

Now get your pearl suit on and bugger off.
