Erik Morales Weight class

Post by JCS »

I see his class being shifted about regularly these days.

Since he's inactive, I think Super Bantam is the best choice.

His last fight was a titlefight in lightweight, and since he's retired after that fight, I'd put him in lightweight.

Umm.. that's not how it works. When a fighter retires, he's placed in the division where he achieved the most.

Who gets to determine that?

Whoever decides to edit the record. He went from Super Feather, to Super Bantam and for some stupid reason, is back at Lightweight.

What if you choose Super Bantam and I choose Super Feather and we keep editing his weight class? Is there a tie-breaker?

I see your point, I'd like to see him at his best weight for all-time ratings, but it's too subjective.

There's no tiebreaker that I'm aware of. Usually its pretty obvious. Either way, Lightweight is not the answer.

Even though someone has marked his record as complete, I'm sure editors are drifting by and moving him to the weight of the last fight. And it will probably happen for a little while, until everyone knows/believes that he is, in fact, retired.
