The United States sent a team of ten boxers to the 1960 Rome Olympic Games. The United States team captured three gold medals (McClure, Crook, and Clay), and one bronze (Daniels).
Members were:

- 132 pounds - Harry Campbell, Army
- 139 pounds - Quincy Daniels, Seattle, WA and Air Force
- 147 pounds - Phil Baldwin, Muskegon, MI and Air Force
- 156 pounds - Wilbert McClure, Chestnut Hill, MA
- 165 pounds - Eddie Crook, Army
- 178 pounds - Cassius Clay, Louisville, KY
- 178 pounds+ - Percy Price, Salem, NJ and Marines
