- In a nationally televised bout, Tsurkan fought a technical fight, landing frequent jab combinations, outpunching Camacho and landing more punches while backing Camacho up. In the eighth round, Tsurkan began landing left and right jabs and body shots at will, and Camacho appeared not to be fighting back at all, so the referee stopped the contest. Camacho protested, but he wasn't throwing any punches in the 8th.
