Notes

  • An accidental clash of heads caused a severe gash in the middle of Beterbiev's forehead in round 4. Blood continued gushing from the cut throughout the fight.
  • Browne down in round 7 from a left hook to the body/right hand to the head combination.
  • Before round 9, referee Griffin indicated to Beterbiev that round 9 would be the last before he sent the fight to the scorecards as a result of the seriousness of Beterbiev's cut.
  • An uppercut to the jaw forces Browne to take a knee in round 9. He remained down for the full count of 10.
