Cliff (Kid) Taro lost to Dode Bercot by TKO in round 4
- Date: 1922-09-14
- Location: Eagles Hall, Everett, Washington, USA
- Referee: Travie Davis
Kid" Taro's second, Pete Moe (Everett boxing instructor), threw in the sponge after Taro had been sent through the ropes and climbed back into the ring groggy. (This may be Clifford Taro, fireman, and brother of W. A. Taro, Everett Fire Chief at this time. Both brothers and two other firemen would be involved in a serious traffic accident November 1, 1923, at Hewitt and Colby streets in Everett. The chief was almost near death, and Cliff was hospitalized as well.)
