  • Gray controlled the action by landing hurtful rights throughout, but Clarke was equal to the task, firing back when it appeared Gray was about to take over.
  • Gray was cut over the right eye in round 2.
  • Referee Herb McMullin appeared to stop the fight in round 9 with Clarke taking punishment on the ropes, but then decided to let the fight go on.
  • Gray was cut underneath the right eye in round 10, and appeared to have trouble defending himself due to the condition of his eye. Gray's corner stopped the fight at the end of the round.
