• Denzel Bentley had a relatively short but impactful amateur boxing career with around 17 fights, starting later in his teens after being introduced to a gym in college, and didn't win major national titles, but it provided a solid foundation for his powerful, accurate style, leading him to turn pro at 22 to develop his skills and find his power in the paid ranks.
• ”I had my first amateur fight when I was 19, however my amateur career wasn’t very long. I only had 17 fights, which included getting to the quarter finals of the Under 20 Novices. I also started training at the Peacock Gym in Canning Town halfway through my three year amateur career and then at one point I decided to turn pro.“ [1]
