The Everett Athletic Club, located at 6th & Pacific, existed from 1905 to 1906. It presented boxing programs and provided a training gym. (According to the Sept. 30, 1906 San Francisco Call, Everett was the only place in Washington state where boxing was permitted. [1])
Its inaugural card was presented April 29, 1905 at the Central Theatre. Its manager was Jack Sullivan. [2]
Immediately after Johnny Crowe died of injuries during a bout at the club on September 28, 1906, it was dismantled and, consequently, boxing was shut down in Everett for many years to come.
