Bout Summary
The fight was close due to Griffin being busier in the ring and Sturm fighting out of character by choosing to slug rather than box in the early going. Sturm fought in spots and used his jab to neutralize Griffin's pressure. They fought at a high pace which took a toll on Sturm, who seemed to be tired down the stretch and began to box at a measured pace while keeping the fight in the middle of the ring.
