In a short heavyweight bout on the undercard of an eight bout event at BB King Blues Club & Grill by Lou DiBella Entertainment, heavyweight prospect Tor Hamer made short work of Terrell 'Baby Bull' Nelson. THis bout with Hamer, the 2008 National Golden Gloves heavyweight champion, went quicker than his previous six rounder at BB King in the same ring with Alexis Mejias which went the distance . Mejias grabbed on for all six rounds despite being unable to land a punch, and Hamer could not get him out of there. The current version of Hamer was a much improved fighter. Hamer landed a left uppercut-right hand combination to drop Nelson early in the first. Nelson tried to run, but Hamer cut off the ring, leaving Nelson with nowhere to hide. A right hand by Hamer dropped Nelson again. Yet another right hand by the pursuing Hamer sent the retreating defenseless Nelson down and out along the ropes in a sitting position. After the bout, in the ring, Hamer loudly called out to promoter Lou DiBella for an immediate rematch with Kelvin Price, who defeated Hamer by split decision in Madison Square Garden in May 2010. Hamer wanted the bout. Hamer, out of New York City, went to 12-1, 9 kayos, New York City. Terrell Nelson, out of Plainview, New Jersey, fell to 8-11, 5 kayos, and was winless in his last 9 bouts. He was inactive between 1997-2007. Nelson, nearly 40 at the time of this bout, looked much older, and appeared unable to defend himself. The punishment Nelson took on this occasion (was unable to rise, as seen in the photo on the right) appeared to end his career.
