- In a controversy, Collado had Aquino down three times in the fourth round. But it was not over, as the referee ruled it was the momentum of a punch Aquino had thrown which caused his third trip to the canvas. Collado was moving in circles around the edge of the ring jabbing consistently out of range and scoring on Aquino, but Collado had a bloody welt under his right eye which possibly affected the scoring. Though Collado thought he had won the bout easily when the fight ended, the judges saw it differently. Aquino, the promoter's fighter, somehow won the bout on the cards without much offense, and the crowd booed the verdict. There were no fouls. If Collado had won one more round on the cards, the bout would have been a draw.
