• In the main event of a ten bout card promoted by Kevin O'Sullivan's New Legend Boxing at Resorts New World Casino in Queens, New York, Will 'Power' Rosinsky won an eight round unanimous decision over Dion Savage. Usual co-promoter Felipe Gomez worked Rosinsky's corner as a co-trainer, and under NYSAC rules he could not promote with O'Sullivan for this boxing card. Shujaa El-Amin is the new legal name of the fighter previously known as Dion Savage, but at this card he was announced as Dion Savage, and wore boxing trunks with 'Dion' on them. Savage fought an eight round defensive fight, with his arms up blocking Rosinsky's hard power shots. Occasionally a punch got through here and there by Rosinsky on Savage which scored. Rosinsky looked busy, while Savage did not throw very much in his defensive shell. However, Savage was more aggressive in round four, which he appeared to win. In the last three rounds, Savage took a few chances trying to open up and throw so power shots on Rosinsky but without success. By keeping his guard up, Savage did not give Rosinsky much more of an option than to outpoint him. Former world champion Junior Jones, heavyweights Jarrell Miller and Fred Latham and Tanzee Daniel, former NYSAC boxing commissioner and Ring 8 President Bob Duffy, world middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs, former world super lightweight champion Charles Murray, super lightweight Louis Cruz, super bantamweight Rafael Vazquez, and HBO boxing commentator Harold Lederman were among those in attendance.
