Conny Rux, young Berlin heavyweight, scored a technical knockout over Lloyd Marshall after two rounds when he opened a cut over Marshall's right eye.

The bout was stopped at the end of the second round by Referee Max Schmeling on the advice of the ringside physician. Marshall's seconds had tried to get him to quit after the first round when he was bleeding freely.
