Frank E. Churchill was one of the important figures who helped develop the early Filipino boxing scene, along with Joe Waterman and the Tait Brothers -- Eddie Tait and Stewart Tait -- all of whom, incidentally, were from Washington state, USA.
Some of the boxers he managed included:
- World Junior Lightweight Champion Mike Ballerino
- World Junior Lightweight Champion Tod Morgan. According to the Jan. 15, 1926 Wenatchee Daily World (Wenatchee, WA, USA), Churchill bought Morgan's contract for $15,000 from Morgan's father immediately after the Dec. 1925 Ballerino-Morgan title bout.
- Featherweight Dencio Cabanela, who died in 1921 after a bout with Bert McCarthy in Australia
- Pancho Villa, who died while still the World Flyweight Champion
- Inocencio Moldes (Clever Sencio), who died after a bout with Bud Taylor in Milwaukee
- Elino Flores
- Pete Sarmiento
- Speedy Dado
- Johnny Hill
- Sammy Shack
Churchill died March 30, 1933 at his ranch house near La Habra, California, at age 59 years. He had been suffering from a weak heart for three years.
