Frankie (Che-Che) Britt is to be distinguished from the New England lightweight of the similar name who boxed during the same era, and from the Frankie (Indian) Britt of Oregon.

According to a February 27, 1923 Tacoma News-Tribune (Tacoma, WA, USA) newspaper, Britt adopted the moniker of "Frankie Zink" after another boxer named "Frankie Britt"" had been tossed out of a Portland, Oregon, ring. But the Sept. 2, 1919 TNT reported that Zink was his birth name. Local newspapers reporting on the same bout would sometimes use either Britt or Zink to identify this boxer.

The TNT reported that Sunday, Feb. 27, 1921, he was married to 18-year-old Myrtle Burke at Ballard, WA, Presbyterian Church by Rev. H. L. Wilhelm.

He became the owner of a San Francisco cocktail bar on Eddy Street by 1941. Sept. 1 Tacoma News Tribune (Tacoma, WA, USA). By 1943 he was teaching boxing at Tacoma's 20th Century Club. In the 1950s he was the chief trainer for Tacoma heavyweight Pat McMurtry.
