Frankie Green was future Canadian Bantamweight Champion Vic Foley's debut opponent.
On May 16, 1930, the local Seattle-area newspapers reported that police were seeking Green, who was accused of shooting his former wife, Mrs. Natalia Brown, aged 21, in the leg the previous night at the barber shop where he was employed as a bootblack. Mrs. Brown, whose wound was not considered serious, said Green was angered because she had refused to reconcile with him.
