Outstanding amateur Super Heavyweight of Yugoslavian descent, resides in Illinois. Amateur Record 20-3. His Father Nick Milosavljevic was a member of the Yugoslavian Olympic team and his brother Zoran Milosavljevic also was an outstanding amateur boxer.
In 1985 Milosavljevic won his first title at the age of 12 defeating Phillip Prezza for the CPD 147 lb. junior division city title.
One of George's best amateur wins was a victory over Derrell Dixon who went on to a successful professional career. George went on to win the Chicago Golden Gloves Novice Heavyweight Championship.
Milosavljevic also fought Vaughn Bean and Kevin Cestone who went on to the professional ranks.
As a young teen, George lived in the Dunning neighborhood of Chicago. The nearby Chicago Park District facility was Dunham Park. George met with Park Supervisor Pete Podgorski. After telling Mr. Podgorski of his father's experience as a European amateur boxer, Pete directed him to some helpful coaches. George fought some amateur bouts. Pete was in his corner and George went on to a successful amateur career.
