Ismael Salas is a Cuban trainer who has worked with world champions such as Danny Green, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Saen Sor Ploenchit, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Yuandale Evans, Kazuto Ioka, and Carlos Adames.
In 2002-2003 Salas was the Head Coach of the Thailand National Amateur Team. Somjit Jongjohor won gold at the 2002 Asian Games and the 2003 World Championships (beating Yuriorkis Gamboa).
