Bout Summary
Brinson moved around and mostly looked to box and counter his opponent as Escalera followed him around the ring and threw wide and often sweeping power punches. Brinson had success moving and landing shots in between Escalera's guard. Escalera caught Brinson with a clean power shot in Round 2, pressed forward and threw wide shots with some success. Escalera was warned in Round 5 for a punch that strayed low. Brinson continued to move, pot shot, and land with some flurries as Escalera walked straight in and threw mostly hooks. Escalera stung Brinson with a right uppercut to highlight Round 6. Escalera dominated Round 7, hurt Brinson with a right hand, and had him in trouble of going down. Brinson mostly looked to evade and tie his opponent up in the 7th Round. Brinson appeared drained for much of Round 8, but had some moments late with flurries.
