Fortuna landed a big left hand on the button as Valenzuela was against the ropes and the two were exchanging wildly. Valenzuela went stiff and fell to the canvas face first. At that, Referee Arthur Mercante Jr. stepped in and immediately removed Valenzuela's mouthpiece and waved an end to the bout.
