Joe Wenke was a Philadelphia-based boxing manager and promoter. In the early 20th Century, he handled Jimmy Burns. Wenke would later promote shows in Philadelphia during the 1940s, taking over the promotion at Cambria A.C. from Johnny Burns. As of April 1927, he was reportedly involved in promotion in a chain of clubs in Harrisburg, Camden, Perth Amboy, Atlantic City, and Altoona.
