Kwang-Sun Kim was the Flyweight gold medalist at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, defeating Andreas Tews of East Germany by decision in the gold medal match. Kim had competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Games as a Light Flyweight, losing to eventual gold medal winner Paul Gonzales, in the opening round.
