Linn Platner (August 13, 1894 in Indiana - May 18, 1979 in La Jolla, California) was an American sports promoter in San Diego, California. Platner was originally the manager of the San Diego-based General Tires baseball club in the early-to-mid 1920s. In January 1927 he began promoting boxing, originally with Tom Landis at the San Diego Coliseum under a promotional company called the Coliseum Athletic Club. Platner would be San Diego's primary boxing and wrestling promoter through the end of 1942, when his lease ended at the Coliseum. Platner would promote a few shows at San Diego's Lane Field in 1943, as well as a single show at the Glacier Gardens before exiting the boxing scene.

Platner would promote Jai Alai in the mid-to-late 1940s in Tijuana, Mexico, and auto racing in the early 1950s. He retired from sports promotion in 1967. Platner was also an important figure in the development of Lane Field in San Diego, and the bringing of Pacific Coast League baseball to San Diego.
