The Majestic Theatre is a former theatre in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania located at 237 S. Main Street. It opened on February 9, 1908 and was originally known as the Luzerne Theatre and was holding boxing shows as early as 1909. By around 1914, it was known as the Majestic Theatre, and continued holding boxing matches until 1923, when it was replaced as a second-tier venue by the Gaiety Theatre. Aside from boxing, it showed vaudeville, burlesque, and films. It appears to have lasted into the early 1950s.
