- According to Rommel Nazario, Landero's manager, Landero had Horikawa groggy in round 6 and was battering him in round 9 when referee Wan-Soo Yuh decided to call a halt to the bout in the biggest win so far of Landero's career. This is the first time Horikawa has lost by knockout. Michael Landero wins the vacant OPBF Minimumweight Title with the win.
