Mike Rosario was a three time New York Golden Gloves Champion. Rosario won the 1977, 1978 and 1980 106lb Open Championships. Rosario was defeated in the 1979 New York Golden Gloves 106lb Open finals by Gregory Vicenty. Rosario trained at the Castle Hill Athletic Club in the Bronx, New York.
