- The Intercity Golden Gloves (1928-1961) were team competitions between Chicago and New York teams. Sixteen fighters were selected for eight championship bouts and eight alternate titles, every victory counted as a point. The team with the most points was declared the victor, occasionally they had ties. The alternate bouts were not fought in 1954 through 1957. The Intercity matches resumed from 1977 through 1981, being fought in eleven different weight divisions, the bouts were limited to eleven matches.
