Pal Silvers was the youngest of the three fighting brothers; Marty Silvers and Joey Silvers being the others. The Silvers brothers were of Hebrew heritage. Pal defeated many fine fighters in his career including Hall of Fame and World Welterweight Champion Jack Britton by decision in 1928. Silvers also defeated world class ranked fighters like Tony Vacarelli, George Levine, Eddie Burnbrook, Light Heavyweight contender Leo Lomski, Floyd Hebert, Jackie Aldare and many other fine boxers of his era.
