Pancho Dencio
Name: Pancho Dencio
Alias: Young Dencio
Birth Name: Faustino Cabanela
Hometown: Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
Pro Boxer: Record
Pancho Dencio (Faustino Cabanela) is not to be confused with Young Dencio (Dencio Villamore). He was a bantamweight and featherweight, whereas Young Dencio was a genuine flyweight. Both were Filipinos. Both fighters took their ring names from Dencio Cabanela, the great Filipino featherweight of the immediate post-World War I period.
The only published record for Pancho Dencio was published in the Everlast Boxing Record, 1928 edition, and this record covered only his 1927 activity. In 1927, and afterward, he was active in rings of the eastern United States. It is thought that he fought earlier in California, and before that in the Philippines.
