Rufus Defibaugh trained from 2004-2005 to become a professional wrestler under the tutelage of Jim Lancaster.

His grandfather, Billie Richard Defibaugh, was an amateur middleweight boxer during World War II. He fought an exhibition contest with middleweight contender, light heavyweight champion, and heavyweight contender Billy Conn.

Rufus Defibaugh was scheduled to fight the likes of Andrew Hartley,Charlie Zelenoff, David Dumas, and many others, during Stacy Goodson's promoter days to compete in the famous Trailer Park Series, but these bouts never transpired.
