Sam Colona is from Chicago Illinois, as an amateur boxer he represented the McGuane Park boxing team. In 1980 Colonna was the CPD boxing tournament 178 lb. South Side champion.
Colonna was previously the trainer at the Windy City Gym & Chicago Fight Club and now trains at Sam Colonna's Gym MMA & Fitnes.
