Before this, since his February 27 show, Gus Troxler had taken a break from presenting weekly Monday night boxing at his Central Institute venue. [2] [3] (His fencing and wrestling show of March 3 had been a dud. [4])
He had had a boxing show scheduled for March 4, but that never happened. [5]. The likely reason he took a break from offering boxing shows was the March 3 fatality of Angelo Veneziano. See Fight:501794.
