Talk:Louis Sargeant vs. Darrell Woods
Ref Stopped or Woods Quit?
Didn't Woods refuse to come out for the 5th round (thus RTD), rather than Referee Howard stopping the fight on his own (although he threatened to stop it)? --Ric 22:58, 28 December 2007 (CST)
Ref stopped it
The ref stopped it because they show a clip of him having the ring doctor check on Woods in between rounds and the doctor told the ref the fight needed to be stopped. If you listened in on Woods' corner they clearly did not want the fight to be stopped in the corner. --Grey
TKO vs. RTD?
Grey, should the result be changed to TKO then? I originally thought it was a retirement in the corner. --Ric 10:57, 29 December 2007 (CST)
Woods was thoroughly beaten
I don't know who's comments these were, but I think, after watching the bout, that it should be understood that Woods probobly didn't win a round. He was beaten badly throughout the entire contest, and the punchstats reflect this. He never "out-boxed" Sargeant at any point of the bout. Rather, he chose to unwisely fight on the inside with Sargeant where he was bludgeoned quite soundly.
