Matt, since the 1948 Ring Record has the fight listed as a win and I have two other sources of verification, can we give Rocky the benefit of the doubt? I know that the Ring Record contains many errors (i.e., adding Rocky (Mongo) Luciano's fights to my uncle's) but I've always been non partial when adding descriptions of fights whether they were a win, a loss or draw.

What's your other source besides the Fresno Bee report? I can check the LA Times again, when I go back to the library.--Matt Tegen 16:25, 21 November 2007 (CST)

I'll get that to you when I get home tonight. There are two other fights not listed that I have some documentation on (Jimmy "Top Row" Allen and Bobby Barrett) but we'll work on this one first. Thanks.

OK here it is. The Ring Magazine May 1946 Pg. 40

"Rocky Luciano,155, Harrisburg (Pa.) Italian, pounded out a ten-round decision over Berry Wright 152, Cleveland Negro, at the Ocean Park arena. It was a bruising affair and both fighters were bleeding freely at the finish."

Matt . . Did you get a chance to look at the LA Times? Again, the third source for the fight is listed as Ring Magazine May 1946 pg. 40.
