Ted Frenchie, a California feather of the mid-1930s, is to be distinguished from a fellow Los Angeles boxer (Alfonzo M. 'Frank' LaBarba) who fought some years earlier under the same boxing moniker. (That Ted Frenchie was the elder brother of Fidel LaBarba: the 1924 Olympic Gold Medalist and later World Flyweight Champion.)
