    • Norwegian middleweight Thor Hognerud totally outboxed the pro debuting Jamaican Willie Yap for 3 rounds. In the 4th combinations from Hognerud left Yap defenceless and referee Kjell Svensson stopped the fight.

    Yap fought on a German license -- he fought in England before returning to Jamaica for several bouts. He was a second to Lloyd Honeghan for Honeghan's win against Curry. He also trained amateurs in Jamaica.
