Tommy Snailham was the brother of fellow boxer Billy Snailham of California. In August 1901 their 25-year-old brother, Benjamin, died. The Snailham family may have been from Wales. [1] [2]

In August 1902 he was attacked by L. Elster. [3].

In December 1902 he was accused of grand larceny. [4]

In March 1903 he was arrested for disturbing the peace. [5]

In November 1903 he got into a fight over a girl, and a fight with a newsboy. [6] [7]

In December 1903 he was in legal trouble yet again when he was charged with resisting arrest after fighting at a public dance. [8]

In April 1906, a couple of weeks before the devastating San Francisco Earthquake, he apparently got beat up pretty good by two patrolmen when he allegedly resisted arrest for disturbing the peace. [9]

In November 1906 he prevented a woman from committing suicide. [10]

In May 1908 he was arrested on a charge of battery. [11]

In August 1908 he was accused of attempted robbery. [12]

On June 16, 1911, one Thomas Snailham was discharged from prison.
